The way he is and the way I am not

Saturday, February 27, 2010 § 10

I see him everywhere
I want to see him more
The way he smiles
The way he carries himself proudly
The way he walks lazily with a hint of swagger
The way he talks
The way he cares about it all
Such detail I notice
And he notices nothing about me
Because I am invisible

Signing off,
Sophia

§ 10 Response to “The way he is and the way I am not”

  • Hello Sophia, I have to say that I whole heartily agree with another comment that I read, in the fact that you are such a passionate writer and your poems exude an intensity and depth which is quite unique, and delightful to read!!!

I guessed when you were growing up, you did not display this wonderful writing and composing ability; perhaps you had it inside you, but you were not sharing it with the world, and consequently, the world was really missing out on the beauty of reading each of your poems.

For a father, it is an extraordinary experience to see the intellectual maturation of his children, and in my case in particular I feel overjoyed to realize that you as well as your siblings are progressing with giant steps.

By the way, is this poem directed to a particular person, a friend or companion from school or someone else? The reason I am asking you this question is because in your poem you said "And he notices nothing about me", and it surprises me a lot that if someone does not notice you, so bubbly and a beautiful human being, that "he" must definitely be blind.

Take care and until the next encounter.........

  • This is so captivating, thought-provoking, and mind-seducing. It is interesting how you used true feelings and thoughts to translate emotion into poetry, literature, writing.

Como siempre, que bello, que seductor.
