Two thousand and ten. Could have been better, but I loved it.

Two thousand and ten. A simple number, yet so much more. The best year of my short life so far. A year in which I grew so much, and I don't mean that as in inches. Favorite times?

The first day of the year- the last day in which my whole family has been reunited at my mother's crazy parties.
Meeting and getting to know my best friend, Julio.
Losing my best friend, A- this allowed me to meet my currently amazing friends, and to let go of so much immaturity.
Traveling! Especially to my favorite place in the world, the Dominican Republic.
Seeing my twin cousin Lorena more than the usual once a year. She is one of the most inspirational people in my life, and has helped me through everything. Unfortunately we live in different countries.
Learning how to perform surgery which will be my future career.
Learning how to drive, although I still can't take my permit test for another five months.
Meeting the most amazing friends anyone could have.
Going to a new school, and improving my grades incredibly.
Learning to appreciate the little moments.
STARTING A BLOG, AND GETTING TO KNOW ALL YOU SPECTACULAR PEOPLE.

Sorry for the long list. It was truly a fabulous year. As for how Christmas went? (Not so) Merry fucking Christmas. Me and my siblings did not receive any presents this year, because of a financial crisis that has thankfully ended now. We did however clean for seven hours.

New Years Eve? I did enjoy it. My cousin who I never see anymore, because he attends the University of Virginia, stayed for a week at my house. My mother and him cooked a delicious lasagna. My family and I watched the whole new years eve countdown on MTV together. After, around one in the morning, my cousin, my brother, and I picked up one of my best friends, tried going to a party which apparently got canceled, walked around in the freezing night trying to find the right house, went to the wrong house with Brazilians in it, stayed and got drinks, and partied with complete strangers. That pretty much sums it up.

I hope 2011 is even better than 2010, and for all my lovely followers, you made my year so much better for just reading the nonsense that fills this blog up.

Happy New Year!

Signing off,
Sophia

  • I'm glad 2010 was such an awesome year for you! That is the first time I have heard such a thing. Lol. I was beginning to think all my friends had a bad year. :P

I'm sorry your Christmas was so crummy though. :(

I hope 2011 is just as wonderful for you, if not better! XOXO
